Sextet for Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Two Bassoons and Piano (1929) belongs to those masterpieces of undeniably Parisian genesis, thanks not only to its unusual instrumental composition, which combines a wind quintet with two bassoons and a piano, but also to its overall experimental character. Sonata for Flute and Piano (1945) was created during composer's summer stay on the seaside resort of the Cape Cod, in South Orleans. In the Sonatina for Clarinet and Piano (1956) the solo clarinet displays the full scale of the instrument's technical virtuosity and coloratura. Four Madrigals for Wind Trio received its definitive form on the brink of the new year 1938 in Nice.
