Štěpán Filípek cello, Sára Medková piano
Duo Štěpán Filípek cello and Sára Medková piano is a musical ensemble from the Czech Republic, formed in 2018. They perform classical and contemporary works for cello and piano, as well as their own compositions, which combine elements of jazz, folk and pop music. They have won several awards, such as the first prize at the International Chamber Music Competition in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, and the second prize at the Prague Spring International Music Competition. They have also participated in international festivals and competitions, such as the Beethovenfest in Bonn, Germany, and the Young Euro Classic in Berlin, Germany. They are known for their expressive and virtuosic playing, as well as their creative and original interpretations, which often involve improvisation and experimentation with sound effects.
Štěpán Filípek je český violoncellista, který vystupuje jako sólista i komorní hráč. Jeho repertoár zahrnuje díla od baroka po současnost. Sára Medková je česká klavíristka, která spolupracuje s mnoha předními orchestry a dirigenty. Její hra je charakteristická výraznou muzikálností a technickou dokonalostí. Společně tvoří duo Filípek-Medková, které se zaměřuje na interpretaci klasické a romantické hudby pro violoncello a klavír.
