Rudolf Rokl (1941-1997) has belonged for many years among the foremost Czech piano interpreters. The foundations for his artistic career had been laid by his studium at the Prague Academy of Music in the class of professor František Rauch. His rich career of a piano virtuoso had brought him on stages of many European countries and the United States. He was a soloist of the Dance Orchestra of the Czechoslovak Radio conducted by Karel Krautgartner, operated in the Semafor and Apollo Theatre, in 1967 passed the engagement in Las Vegas. For forty years he cooperated permanently with Karel Gott like a arranger, composer and soloist of his orchestra. He maked recordings for radio, TV and gramophone companies. In the publishing house Musica Pragensis has recorded in last two years another two records, in which his matured mastership of interpretation was manifested - For the good times and Christmas with Rudolf Rokl.

Jaroslav Svěcený (1960) graduated from the Prague Academy of Music at the class of profesor Václav Snítil. His outstanding talent confirmed by prizes from many international contests has led him to stages in many countries of Europe, Latin America, Africa and in the United States. He regularly performs as a soloist with Czech and foreign orchestras and at various music festivals (Prague Spring, Palermo, Gewandhaus Leipzig, Bilbao etc.). He makes recording for radio, TV and gramophone companies. For Musica Pragensis he recorded three unikate recordings Prague, Czech and Moravian violin in changing centuries. These CD want to pay tribute and show admiration to the mastership of the Czech violin-making. He plays on a precious violin made by violin-maker Ferdinand August Homolka in 1882, which you will hear in this recording.

Rudolf Rokl (1941 - 23. září 1997) patřil po řadu let k předním českým klavírním interpretům. Základy pro svou uměleckou činnost získal studiem na Akademii múzických umění ve třídě profesora Františka Raucha. Jeho bohatá dráha klavírního virtuoza ho přivedla na pódia mnoha zemí Evropy a Spojených států, nahrává pro rozhlas, televizi a gramofonové společnosti. Byl sólistou Tanečního orchestru Československého rozhlasu řízeného Karlem Krautgartnerem, působil v divadlech Semafor a Apollo, v roce 1967 absolvoval půlroční angažmá v Las Vegas. Téměř čtyřicet let trvale spolupracoval s Karlem Gottem jako aranžér, skladatel a sólista jeho orchestru. Nahrával pro rozhlas, televizi a gramofonové společnosti. Ve vydavatelství Musica Pragensis natočil kromě této své desky v uplynulých dvou letech další dvě desky, na nichž se plně projevilo jeho vyzrálé interpretační mistrovství - For the good times a Vánoce s Rudolfem Roklem.

Jaroslav Svěcený (1960) absolvoval AMU v Praze ve třídě prof. Václava Snítila. Jeho vynikající talent, potvrzený cenami v řadě mezinárodních soutěží, ho přivedl na pódia mnoha zemí Evropy, Latinské Ameriky, Afriky a Spojených států. Vystupuje pravidelně jako sólista našich i zahraničních orchestrů včetně festivalových pódií (Pražské jaro, Palermo, Gewandhaus Leipzig, Bilbao atd.), nahrává pro rozhlas, televizi a gramofonové společností. Pro Musicu Pragensis nahrál tři unikátní nahrávky - Pražské, České a Moravské housle v proměnách staletí, které skládají hold a obdiv mistrovství českých a moravských houslařů. Koncertuje na vzácných houslích pražského houslaře Ferdinanda Augusta Homolky z roku 1882, na nichž byla pořízena i tato nahrávka.
